Frenchman Paul Le Guen has been named as the new Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles. The 52 yrs old was named at the end of a meeting of the NFF on Monday.
The new technical
adviser guided the Cameroonian team to the 2010 FIFA world cup finals. He won
17 caps for France. The former coach of Rennes, Lyon, Paris Saint German, and Glasgow
Rangers takes over the team who had been without a substantive coach since the
demised of Sunday Oliseh who resigned the job eight months after he took over
from the late Stephen Keshi.
The former Brest,
Nantes, and PSG player will be in charge when Nigeria meets Tanzania in September
for the 2017 nations’ cup qualifier. The interim coach, Salisu Yusuf will
assist the Frenchman as the chief coach of the team.
